A Chelsea second-string cruised to an 8-0 demolition of FC Noah at Stamford Bridge as the Blues recorded their biggest win in modern European competition and stayed top of their UEFA Conference League group. Chelsea, overwhelming favourites to win the Conference League, took no time stamping their authority as Tosin Adarabioyo gave them an early lead in the 12-minute mark thanks to his well-directed header coming from Enzo Fernández’s corner. A minute later, Noah’s Gonçalo Silva’s mistake gifted Marc Guiu Chelsea’s second.
The goals were not about to stop coming as Axel Disasi powered home another Fernández corner and João Félix added a fourth after capitalizing on another Noah error. Mykhailo Mudryk then wowed the crowd with a stunning long-range strike while Félix nabbed his second to make it 6-0 before halftime.
Christopher Nkunku scored twice in the second half, his second deep into injury time as a penalty awarded for a dubious foul on Keirnan Dewsbury-Hall allowed Chelsea to miss out on a record-breaking ninth goal. Chelsea’s statement performance brought all other Conference League competitors on notice.
Chelsea’s emphatic victory extended their fine European campaign, as they seek silverware in the Conference League.
