It has been reported that Chelsea is about to sign Cucurella from Brighton. It was earlier reported that Cucurella was to move to Man City but the deal didn’t pull off.
Chelsea capitalized on the opportunity to sign the player, as it is in dire need of a defender to add to its squad, since all efforts to sign new players didn’t pull off. According to Fabrizio Romano, all personal agreement has been reached by the two clubs, and it will be officially announced when the fee has been paid.
If this works out then Chelsea will be happy, as many people have predicted that they won’t make it to the top four at the premier league this season due to their inability to get players. Chelsea’s overall performance at the preseason games hasn’t been encouraging and the premier league will soon commence. We hope they’ll do well in the fast-approaching premier league.
