On May 25, Comedian Brainjotter’s Abuja show turned into something much bigger than planned.
The comedian had intended to give away 1 million Naira to a lucky fan, but fate intervened.
Brainjotter met Queen Onwunachie, a physically challenged fan, who was the first to arrive at the show. Brainjotter felt a connection with Onwunachie and decided to change his plans.
During the show, Brainjotter called Onwunachie on stage and announced he would be raising money for her.
With the help of the audience and a surprise sponsor, Brainjotter managed to raise over 20 million Naira for Onwunachie.
The money will not only help Onwunachie financially but will also cover the cost of processing a visa to Canada.
The woman was called from where she was and brought to the front of the stage, as was seen during the concert..
What they’re saying
“The concert I planned for Abuja was not mine; it was a woman’s show. I didnt know God has other plans,” Brainjotter said in pidgin English on a video posted on Thursday.
“I would like to thank Transcorp Hilton for providing me with accomodation for the evening and Brainjotter, my benefactor. I wish to express my gratitude. I’m very appreciative. Onwunachie prayed, “God bless you, God bless brainjotter, and God bless everyone who contributed for me.”
Bottom Line
This incredible turn of events left Onwunachie overwhelmed with gratitude. Brainjotter used this opportunity to inspire his fans to never give up on their dreams. Brainjotter himself is grateful for the generosity of the audience and sees this event as a reward for Onwunachie’s positive attitude.
