Como director of sport, Carlalberto Ludi has confirmed the Italian giants’ interest in Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah, as the English center-back is getting more attention as the season approaches.
Chelsea are ready to consider offers for the defender this summer, with the Blues said to rate the Academy product in the region of £30m-35m. The center-back is currently away on duty with England for the FIFA World Cup, where they are preparing for their round of 16 clash.
The agent of Chalobah is reported to be in Italy holding discussions on a potential transfer, and with Como appearing to be favorites to acquire the Chelsea defender for some time, the Italian side now faces fierce competition from rival Italian outfit Inter Milan in a battle for the defender’s services.

Ludi told football reporters: “Chalobah is a very strong player,” without wanting to divulge more on the transfer situation and talks. This comes as Chelsea also continues to orchestrate a reshuffle to their defence with Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix remaining an option, but talks have slowed, with Palace searching for cover prior to any sale. Com’s Jacobo Ramon is one of the defensive targets that Chelsea have, and that list appears to be growing as the summer transfer window continues.
