It seems there’s a fascinating tale from the Obafemi Awolowo University in Osun State. Subair Enitan, a 200-level student, just wrapped up an impressive 58-hour hand wash-a-thon in the wee hours of Monday. Now, that’s quite a feat, spending all those hours washing clothes solely using VIVA detergent. One wonders if VIVA might acknowledge her effort with an endorsement deal.
The purpose behind this marathon washing session? Enitan aimed to secure a spot in the Guinness World Records for the longest individual hand cloth washing. She commenced this quest on a Friday afternoon at the Student Union Building Motor Park within the University premises, with a massive show of support from fellow students.
Throughout her task, she received visits from various students, artists, and University officials who rallied around her, boosting her spirits for the challenge.
Enitan successfully completed the 58-hour ordeal around midnight on Monday, following which she was promptly taken in the School Ambulance to the institution’s clinic for a thorough medical check-up.
Expressing her fulfillment after completing the task, Enitan highlighted the joy of achieving this feat in the presence of her mother, Omogbolabo Afolake, who stood by her side for over two days along with numerous friends and colleagues.
It’s undeniably a unique achievement, one that’s worth acknowledging as a display of determination and commitment to a peculiar goal.
