A restraining order has been issued, against the Nigeria Labour Congress and its affiliates by the National Industrial Court, from going on the proposed Nationwide Strike on Wednesday, June 7 2023.
If we can recall, the Nigeria Labour Congress, released a statement ordering its 43 affiliates to withdraw their services, as they are to embark on a Nationwide strike on Wednesday due to the recent hike in prices of fuel by the NNPC, after the president removed fuel subsidy. The NUJ (Nigeria Union of Journalists) also indicated interest on embarking on a Nationwide protest on Wednesday, ordering members of the union to withdraw it’s services.
The restraining order was issued by Justice Olufunke Anuwe and ordered that it should be served to the NLC before the next sitting.
