Dangote Petroleum Refinery has once again lowered the prices of diesel and aviation fuel, now offering them at ₦940 and ₦980 per liter, respectively, following its recent reduction to ₦1,000 just two weeks ago.
The new price of ₦940 for diesel applies to customers purchasing five million liters and above, while ₦970 is for those buying one million liters and above.
Mr. Anthony Chiejina, Head of Communication, announced this development, emphasizing the company’s commitment to alleviate economic challenges in Nigeria.
In a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations, Dangote ensures affordable fuel prices across their stations nationwide. Diesel can now be purchased for as low as ₦1,050 per liter, and aviation fuel for ₦980 at major airports where MRS operates.
The Dangote Group aims to improve the welfare of Nigerians, reflecting in these price reductions, aimed at cushioning economic challenges.
This marks the third significant reduction in diesel prices within three weeks, showcasing Dangote’s dedication to positively impacting Nigeria’s economy.
President Bola Tinubu commended Dangote for the initial price cut, acknowledging it as an enterprising feat.
Mr. Ajayi Kadiri, Director-General of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), praised Dangote’s efforts, noting the positive impact on the economy. The reduction will ease energy costs in critical sectors like industry, transportation, logistics, and agriculture, potentially reviving many dormant companies.
