Dangote Refinery, in partnership with Neptune Oil, has sent its first shipment of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to Cameroon. This marks a milestone for Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil refinery, and shows progress in connecting energy resources across the region.
In a recent announcement, Dangote Refinery said this success came from the strong partnership between the two companies. This project shows their dedication to improving economic connections between Nigeria and Cameroon, and meeting the increasing energy demands in the region.
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the head of the Dangote Group, talked about how important this export is:
“This first shipment of petrol to Cameroon shows what we want for Africa – a strong, energy-independent continent. This step helps us build a future where African resources are processed and traded within Africa to help our people.”
Antoine Ndzengue, Director and Owner of Neptune, agreed and highlighted the importance of this partnership for Cameroon: “Working with Dangote Refinery is a big moment for Cameroon. By being the first to import products from this top-quality refinery, we’re improving our energy safety and supporting our local economy. This first delivery, done without outside help, shows our promise to serve our markets on our own and do it well.”
