The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has entered a historic agreement with the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) to provide 60 million liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) every week. This important partnership, which is set to start by the end of the month, will greatly improve IPMAN’s ability to distribute fuel.

Key highlights

  1. – Weekly Distribution: 60 million litres of PMS to IPMAN members, adding up to 240 million liters each month.
  2. – Direct Distribution: Eliminating middlemen to improve logistics and lower costs.
  3. – National Effect: Lowering Nigeria’s reliance on imported fuel, which saves the country money.
  4. – Industry Effects: More competition, possible price stability, and economic growth from local fuel production.

Chinedu Ukadike, IPMAN’s National Publicity Secretary, said that this deal lets their members get petrol straight from the Dangote refinery. “We’ll be taking millions of litres of petrol… Dangote is ready to give us more than 60 million litres, based on how much we buy.”

This agreement is a big step for IPMAN, making it easier to distribute fuel and solving problems with getting it to the right places. With Dangote’s refinery ready to supply petrol directly to IPMAN, Nigeria’s fuel industry is set for major changes.
