Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has shared that he and his wife, Chioma, are taking a break from having more children to give her the opportunity to focus on her career.
The singer made the revelation in a recent episode of Ride Along With Darryl, shared on X on Saturday, where he explained that after three children, Chioma deserves some time for herself and her aspirations.
“I don’t want more children now. Me and my wife are taking a break. She needs to get out to work. She wants to do a lot of things like opening her restaurant and launching her spices. I feel she deserves a couple of years off after having 3 kids,” Davido said.
He also mentioned that Chioma is currently spending more time abroad as she prepares to launch her entrepreneurial ventures, with her spice brand being the primary focus.
“She is here mostly now so I think she is going to open something here first, both in Nigeria and here, but she wants to open something here first. The main thing is the spices for now. Get the spices in some major stores worldwide, both in Africa and diaspora, everywhere, ’cause her food tastes amazing,” he added.
The couple, who welcomed a set of twins in 2023, tragically lost their first son, Ifeanyi, in a swimming pool accident the year prior.
