The General overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church has canceled his proposed crusade in Aba, Abia state.
This decision was made due to security constraints in the South East. The South East has been terrorized by violent events which some unknown gunmen have been accused of perpetrating.
It was gathered that the indigenous people of Biafra had warned him to desist from holding any Church program in the East. Emma Powerful, IPOB’s media, and publicity secretary had said that the crusade could be infiltrated by unknown gunmen and the blame could be placed on IPOB who would not have a hand in it.
The Christian association seemed strong-headed and decided for the church to go ahead with the crusade and ignore IPOB’s warning. However, the crusade which was however slated to hold from the 24th to the 29th of May has therefore been canceled.
