Dele Alli’s biological mother had come out to state that she had no clue that the footballer had been molested as a child. This was in reference to an interview Mr. Alli had granted last week.
The Everton midfielder had revealed in an emotional interview with Gary Neville that he had been molested by his mum’s friend when he was at the tender age of six.
Alli, who is estranged from his biological parents, had moved in with Alan and Sally Hickford when he was 12 and now refers to the pair as his adoptive parents.
But Alli’s blood mother had had told news men that she had not been able to stop crying since she heard her son describe the abuse he had suffered as a child.
“I had no idea he’d been molested.” She had said.
She had then gone further to apologise to her son, revealing that it was heart breaking to discover that someone she had allowed into her house had betrayed her in the worst possible way.
“I no longer have contact with my son, and I only hope I’ll have the chance to see him again.” She had lamented.
