Newsmen and political monitors have observed low voter turnout at the ongoing local government election in Delta State.
Multiple eye-witness reports had observed traders at Igbudu Market freely going about their respective businesses in Warri. Commercial transporters were not also seen conveying individuals to their respective destinations.
The presence of security officers were reportedly low along the major roads and highways in the area.
At about 10:57 am, the registered voters were yet to come out of their homes to cast their ballots for their preferred candidates in Warri South, Uvwie, and the home of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in Osubi, Okpe Local Government Areas.
The election which is supposed to end by 2:00pm on Saturday is likely to inconclusive given the low voter turnout.
