Nigerian actress, Destiny Etiko also recently took to her IG to express her disappointment in the public for the excitement made on the coming back of Big Brother Naija while the country is in serious difficulty regarding its economy and security.

According to an Insta-story post that has since been deleted, Etiko made her disappointment clear saying that although people are now dedicating time to watch the show, many Nigerians face immense hardships. She questioned how the nation is at a point of struggling with severe challenges, and some will spend their time watching big brother Naija. She asked how others can manage to get data to watch the show given that many are struggling. Etiko insisted more on the plight of the poor people by pointing out that while there are some who can make it, there are those that cannot.

Etiko also stated that crime rate has increased and the country has become generally insecure and people seem not to care. She encouraged Nigerians to open their eyes to the current situation in the country and better address the issues affecting it early enough.

With the revelations made by the actress, the public was once again reminded of the discrepancy between entertainment and the socio-economic issues of the country.
