Donald Trump has congratulated FIFA for reversing the suspension given to Folarin Balogun, as he got involved in discussions with FIFA president Gianni Infantino about the issue.
According to reports, the USA president, Trump, spoke to Infantino regarding Balogun’s dismissal in a World Cup game involving the USA and Bosnia Herzegovina. FIFA later issued a statement on Saturday evening confirming that the suspension has been quashed.
The US striker will now be available for Monday’s World Cup tie.

Donald Trump, via the White House press secretary, said the ban of the United States striker “was an injustice” and commended FIFA “for stepping in and doing the right thing.” However, there were previous claims of the US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick also engaging in discussions over the matter behind the scenes, hoping for the player to be available for the USA during the rest of the tournament.
The news will provide a massive relief for the USA team, who could possibly be featuring Balogun at the base of their attacking formation when they face Poland.
