Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has been released from police detention after spending two days in custody.
The actress regained her freedom on Monday, following her arrest on Saturday evening.
Reports indicate that Doris was taken into custody after she publicly accused a popular Lagos-based pastor, Chris Okafor, of allegedly misleading her with a promise of marriage, alongside other claims shared on social media.

Her arrest triggered widespread reactions online, with several Nigerians and social media commentators calling for her release. Among those who spoke out was Nigerian social media critic VeryDarkMan, who joined others in demanding her freedom.
Confirming her release, Doris took to her Instagram page on Monday afternoon to express gratitude to those who supported her during the ordeal.
She specifically acknowledged human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore, as well as VeryDarkMan, for their intervention.
In a brief post, the actress wrote, “Thank you Sowore. Thanks so much to my ratel king.”
The development has continued to generate conversations across social media, with many supporters welcoming her release and calling for restraint in handling similar disputes.
