Induction Ceremony at the 8th International Conference of PSSN

The induction ceremony was held during the 8th International Conference of PSSN at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, on Friday. Professor Waheed Yahya, President of PSSN, stated, “The inductees were chosen for their exceptional contributions in championing statistics through their professional endeavors.”

Advocacy for Women Marketers and Support for Education

Dr. Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo has been a passionate advocate for the interests and well-being of women marketers in Nigeria, bringing immense joy and support to entrepreneurial women throughout the country.

Additionally, her commitment to humanitarian causes and support for vulnerable populations recently led to the enrollment of over 10,000 children of common traders and underprivileged Nigerians into various tertiary institutions on scholarships. This initiative aims to bridge the educational gap between children of different socioeconomic backgrounds.

Commendation for Defending Statisticians’ Interests

Professor Yahya also commended Dr. Mujidat and the other inductees for their unwavering dedication to defending the interests of statisticians in Nigeria. He emphasized that their efforts should be duly recognized and appreciated.
