American Rap star, Drake, has lost £478,000 after betting on Francis Ngannou defeating Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight boxing bout held on Friday, March 8.
Drake had been in line for a huge payday of more than £1million if he hadn’t lost the bet. However, Joshua had knocked out Ngannou in just two rounds.
Anthony Joshua delivered a devastating knockout on Ngannou that sent the former UFC champion falling to the surface in a vicious fashion. Ngannou had later receiving medical care in the ring before getting to his feet.
This boxing outcome sees Drake’s losing streak in combat sports continue as in January, the American rap-star lost more than half-a-million pounds when he backed Sean Strickland to defend his UFC middleweight championship against Dricus Du Plessis.
He had also lost £430,000 when Israel Adesanya suffered a shocking defeat against Strickland in the octagon. Before that, he had bet £700,000 on Logan Paul to beat Dillon Danis in the boxing ring and had lost that bet too.
