A truck carrying a 40-foot container crashed on a Toyota vehicle along a cement bus station in the Dopem district of Lagos state on Monday.
The incident is believed to have occurred around 4 p.m. Monday.
No one was in the car at the time of the accident, so there were no injuries. Lagos State Transport Authority spokesman Taofik Adebayo confirmed the incident and said it was caused by a brake failure.
He said that the truck was heading towards Dopemu, but the brakes failed. The driver lost control and then hit a red Toyota Camry parked on the side of the road.
Taofiq announced that LASTMA’s Executive Director Boraj Oleagba recently met with the Truck Drivers Association and instructed them to get their vehicles in good condition before leaving for their trip.
