Tijani Babangida, ex-Super Eagles winger has stated that the team’s lack of Cohesion, contributed to their loss against Algeria
Nigeria failed to defeat Algeria for the fourth time, as the super eagles lost their FIFA-sanctioned friendly match against Algeria in a 2-1 defeat.
Speaking on the super eagles’ loss, Tijani Babangida, ex Ajax star praised the team for their fantastic performance against Algeria.
He further admitted that he loved their general display, but in all honesty, the team lacked unity, as they couldn’t exchange passes, and the coach should take note of this particular loophole in his team
“I must commend the Super Eagles players for their performance against Algeria in Tuesday’s international friendly game.
“The general display was good but the cohesion is still missing as they struggled to exchange passes. The coach must work on this area if he hopes to make the team very strong.’
While some blamed the super eagles’ failure on poor officiating, others blamed the players.
