The National Youth Service Corps, Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed has appealed for maximum security for all Corps members and NYSC Officials who would work as electoral officers in the Edo State Gubernatorial Election on Saturday.
The DG had made the appeal during his advocacy visit to 4 Brigade, Nigerian Army, Benin City, where he was received by the GOC, 2 Div Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Major General OG Onubogu, who was consequently on election monitoring in Edo State.
He also added that Corps members, being the major workers of the ad-hoc staff for the election, was a testament to the great successes NYSC has recorded through its participation in previous elections in the country.

Brigadier General YD Ahmed had said,
“I am here to solicit your support for the security of Corps members who will participate in the election.“We also seek assistance from other security agencies to oversee the Corps Lodges in the state up till after the election.
Finally, General Ahmed also said that the Corps members have been fully sensitized and are ready to abide by the electoral laws.
