The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has revealed that it has arrested 12 persons for reported vote buying during the supplementary polls held on Saturday, April 15, in Kano and Katsina States.
The EFCC Kano Zonal Commander, Faruk Dogondaji, revealed this information to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) during an interview. Dogondaji had said that the suspects were arrested with N1.5 million cash in Kano and Katsina States.
10of them had been arrested in Doguwa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State while two of the suspects had been arrested in Kankiya LGA of Katsina State.
The EFCC commander had then said the suspects would be charged in court after investigations had been concluded.
