Twitter CEO Elon Musk had on Thursday, May 11 announced that he has appointed a new chief executive officer for the social media platform.
Although Musk had revealed that the new CEO was female, He had not bothered disclosing her name.
In addition to the news of a new CEO, Elon Musk announced several new features to boost communication features on the social media app.
Some of these features include changes to direct messages or DMs i.e. non-public messages users can now send to one another, users replying to any message in a DM thread, and encrypted DMs.
Additionally, Musk announced that voice and video calls would soon be added to Twitter so users can talk to their fellow users anywhere in the world without giving them a phone number.
