The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has apologized to Nigerians for the constant failures in online banking transactions.
The CBN governor had said this while addressing newsmen after a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.
The CBN governor had then gone on to assure Nigerians that the apex bank would sustain the current monetary tightening regime after the continued increase in headline inflation that has posed significant risks to Nigeria’s economy.
According to Emefiele, the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the CBN is determined to raise the Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) known as an interest rate by 50 basis points to 18 percent from 17.5 percent.
