The Enugu State government has suspended the traditional ruler of Ekpulato Mgbowo, Igwe Greg Ituma, in the Awgu local government area of the state, over a security-related matter.
The state’s Commissioner for Chieftaincy Matters, Dr. Charles Egumgbe, who confirmed the development in a statement on Saturday in Enugu reported that the monarch was suspended for bad conduct, considered threatening to the security of the state.
The commissioner meanwhile, had ordered Igwe Ituma to step down from his monarch position pending when investigations were done, subsequent findings, and recommendations to the state government were gotten and accepted.
