The estranged ex-wife of Robinson Uwak, a former member of the House of Representatives, was ordered to be remanded in the Correctional Center at Suleja.

Kazia Uwax was arraigned in court alongside Joseph Utong, and Ibiang Ofem in the Grade 1 Area Court Nyanya, Abuja on the count of joint act and the attempt to commit grievous bodily harm on the ex-lawmaker. They pleaded not guilty to these Charges. However, the Judge ordered that Kazia be remanded in the Suleja Correctional center while the rest two be remanded in Keffi.

According to the Police’s first information report, the defendants were arrested for agreeing to help Kazia murder Uwax to gain access to all his properties, and on May 27, 2022, Kazia attempted to murder Uwax while he was asleep.

“it would have resulted in his death or bodily harm.”

“All these were done in pursuant to your agreement. And you are thereby committed to the above offense,” the police said.
