Nigeria’s Senate President Godswill Akpabio has preached for maximum patience, understanding, and support towards President Tinubu, in his mission of changing the country for the best.
Akpabio had made the supplication in his Eid el-Kabir message to Nigerians, particularly the Muslim Ummah.
In the Eid message, he had felicitated with President Bola Tinubu on his first Eid-el-Kabir celebration as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In his words:
“As we join our Muslim brethren to observe the essence of the season, which emphasises our submission to the will of the Almighty God, the importance of sacrifice in our daily lives should not be lost on us.
I applaud the resilience and patriotism of Nigerians in the face of the present challenges we face as a nation. We should all view it as part of the process of nation-building.”
Akpabio had then mentioned that even though some of Tinubu’s measures had brought several inconveniences to the populace, he was appealing to his countrymen to look at the bigger picture and to exercise patience with the new government.
Akpabio had concluded the statement by pledging that the 10th National Assembly would strive to provide Tinubu’s administration with the necessary support for the benefit of everyone.
So far, Nigerians have been doing nothing but wait, to see the outcome and the supposed ‘benefits’ of the bills that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been signing since his inauguration into office.
Most of the signed bills have portended hardship for the not so affluent majority in Nigeria as it has to do with the parting of income that is very meagre if the minimum wage is anything to go by.
