A sudden explosion rocked the Mararaba-Nyanya bypass in Abuja on Monday afternoon, leaving one person injured. The incident occurred around 2:50 p.m., prompting a swift response from security personnel. According to the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Josephine Adeh, officers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit were deployed immediately after the report was received.

Police Launch Investigation Into Explosion

The scene was cordoned off to secure the area and prevent further risk. Police say the victim, a male, was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for medical care. Investigations have started, including forensic analysis, to determine the exact cause and nature of the explosion. No one has been declared responsible yet, and no further injuries have been reported.
