With a grinding 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, have tightened their hold on the top of the Premier League table by recording their fourth consecutive league win.
Despite their 0-2 midweek Conference League defeat at the hands of AEK Larnaca, the visitors started the game with a bang and showed considerable resistance. Glasner’s side worked hard and pushed for the goal early on, but Arsenal slowly took control of the game.
They got their goal through the one they know well, Eberechi Eze. After Gabriel Magalhães had returned the free-kick into the area with his header, Eze left his old club with no chance of saving his elegant overhead kick and thus, the Gunners were the leading team at the break.

The second half was Mikel Arteta’s team’s and Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka could have easily doubled the score with one of their shots. Nevertheless, Arsenal’s rock-solid backline — which has led to five clean sheets in a row across all competitions — gave no opportunity to the Eagles for a comeback.
The win keeps Arsenal four points ahead of the pack and still unbeaten at home this season, while Palace are without a victory in their last four games, although they are still comfortably placed in the top half.
