The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria–FAAN had on Wednesday, September 13, declared that it would be closing down the Yakubu Gowon Airport, in Jos, Plateau State.
FAAN had made the announcement through a statement it released on its Twitter page on Wednesday morning.
The statement had revealed that the airport would be closed from 23rd September to 29th September 2023 for the routine airport runway maintenance.
The statement read:
“This is to inform the general public, Airport users and stakeholders that Yakubu Gowon Airport, in Jos, will temporarily shut down its Flight Operations as from Saturday, 23rd September to 29th September 2023 for the routinely airport runway maintenance.”
“The Management is apologetic for any inconveniences this might cause to our beloved customers.” it finished.
