It’s the most important week in the Christian calendar, the Death and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. To mark the Easter celebration, the Federal Government through the Minister of Interior Rauf Aregbesola made the declaration in Abuja, that Friday, April 7th, and Monday, April 10th have been declared as public holidays.
Aregbesola in a statement signed by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Shauib Begore on Wednesday, advised Christians to take on the virtues of Jesus Christ during his time on earth, and that Christians should use this opportunity to pray for the country and the insecurity issue that beguiled the country.
He also promised that the Federal Government is doing everything it can to ensure a peaceful transition of government, next month, and further enjoined Christians to show love to their friends and family both in Nigeria and Diaspora.
