Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, made the announcement on behalf of the federal government, according to a statement issued by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr Magdalene Ajani on Friday.

He congratulated the Muslim Ummah on this momentous occasion, but urged them to take use of the occasion to pray for long-lasting peace and a wealthy, equitable society.

The minister pushed for patience, selflessness, and resiliency among Muslims and all Nigerians.
