A new team, in charge of collecting landing and take-off fees from helicopters operating on all oil platforms across the country, has been launched by the federal government, through its consultant, Naebi Dynamic Concepts Limited.
The implementation committee for Rivers State which includes: Police representatives, the Department of State Services -DSS, the Rivers State government, and the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency -NAMA, was inaugurated at the international wing of the Port Harcourt airport on Thursday, October 13, according to the chief executive officer/managing director of Naebi Dynamic, Chike Stanley.
Stanley who disclosed that the implementation team would enable the firm to have easy access to all the platforms, oil rigs, airstrips, aerodromes, helipads, and heliports in Rivers State, added that the policy would create at least 15,000 employment opportunities in the country.
Additionally, the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika also noted that the initiative would help to increase revenue generation in the sector and create employment opportunities nationwide.
