The U-20 Women’s World Cup is upon us already with our Falconets prepared to bring the cup home this time around. The Confederation of Africa football has wished the Falconets and Ghana who are the only two qualifiers in Africa for the WWC good luck.
The competition started yesterday with Costa Rica which is the host going against Australia, and Spain going against Brazil in the group A category.
Falconets are to face France on Friday, and then they’ll go against South Korea on Sunday, and Canada on Thursday in the Group C category.
Ghana is to face the United States of America, Netherlands, and Japan in the Group D category.
2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup kicks off tonight in Costa Rica,” CAF wrote on the WAFCON 2022 Twitter handle.
“Good luck to our representatives.”

Falconets have always done their best in the U-20 Women’s World Cup, they qualified for the finals two times but ended up losing to Germany. This time around we hope for a change and this might be the motivation super Falcons need for the preparation of the WWC to hold in Australia in 2023.
