Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has berated PDP’s Stake Holders in the state, for disobeying his directives as regards political appointment, as the list they presented did not follow the rules he laid down.
Fintiri who has promised to ensure proper representation in his political appointment, laid down some rules that any list presented by parties must fulfil. As he only wants capable hands in his administration.
Fintiri dissed the PDP’s Party leadership via his Twitter handle on Saturday. According to him, the list presented was “mechanically fabricated” disobeying his orders to present their best and most credible 11 candidates for political appointment, apparently what they presented did not meet up to par.
He further stated, that his reason for doing this, is to ensure that there’s proper and effective representation, but any list that flaunts his directives will be disregarded.
“I will not accept any mechanically fabricated list from Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders in Adamawa, who disregarded my earlier directives to present their best 11 for political appointment through proper consultations with their constituents.
“It is essential to ensure that everybody is carried along for a proper representation. Any list that does not meet the criteria or instructions I previously laid down will be rejected.”
Fintiri was finally declared the winner of the Adamawa State Governorship election on April 18th after a dramatic election, conducted in the state. If we can recall the election was conducted twice, the first was cancelled as a result of overvoting.
Despite winning the election, he still wants every party to have a voice in his administration, as according to him, he was democratically elected, so every party should be effectively represented in his government.
