A building in the College of Health Sciences at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nnewi, was on Thursday night gutted by fire. The fire razed the building housing, the physiology department and destroyed some of its properties. Students and staff of the institution were left in shock following the incident.
Fortunately, quick action ensured the fire did not spread to other buildings nearby, and no loss of life occurred in the process. Nonetheless, the source of the fire is still unknown.
