Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Fireboy has collaborated with fellow label mate and star of the moment, Asake, to drop the latest single called Bandana. Fireboy broke the news today via Twitter. Asake has been on a success spree this year with his singles Sungba, Omo Ope, Palazzo, and Peace Be Unto You enjoying wide success in clubs and parties across the country. Fireboy is all geared up to join forces with the breakout artist for his second drop of 2022.
Fireboy’s Playboy was his first release of 2022 and it was well-received, enjoying vast replay on radio stations and on social media. However, Fireboy no doubt has hopes that his latest release benefits from the positive reviews that Asake has so far been generating.
Fireboy DML’s contribution to the Nigerian music industry quickly skyrocketed him to fame and caught the eye of many music pundits, including Nigerian rapper Olamide who later signed the then up-and-coming artiste to his YBNL Nation record label after the release of Jealous. Fireboy then went on to release his debut studio album Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps and earned a nomination for “Song of the Year” at the 2020 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival for his efforts.
Bandana would be released tomorrow, Friday 24th along with Chris Brown and Wizkid’s Incoming music.
