A giant shopping center on the outskirts of the Russian capital, erupted in a massive fire outbreak early this morning, December 9.
According to local officials, the fire broke out at a construction retailer. Emergency workers had immediately responded to the inferno reports at the Mega Khimki mall, situated in the Moscow region just on the outskirts of the nation’s capital, shortly after 6 am on Friday, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
By 7:30 am the fire had grown to an area of about 7,000 square meters and unfortunately, a security guard was confirmed to have lost his life in the inferno. However, eyewitnesses said employees were evacuated from the complex immediately, however.
This casualty was confirmed to the media by Sergey Poletykin, the regional branch head of the Emergencies Ministry.
