Authorities late Sunday evening confirmed that a gunman whose identity is yet to be revealed had in a mass shooting, killed five people at a condominium unit, in a Toronto suburb.
But AP News, reports that Chief James MacSween of York regional police stated that one of his officers shot and killed the suspect at a condo in Vaughan, Ontario.
MacSween, who tagged the incident as a horrendous one, had revealed that there were at least six deceased individuals. With the Gunman being among them.
“One of the deceased is the subject. The other five are his victims.” The Chief Police had said.
The Chief Police did not yet have details on whether the shooter was a resident of the building at the time of filing this report.
But AP News reports that Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, which gets involved when there is a death or serious injury involving police operatives, is currently investigating the incident.
