Bisi Kazeem, the Assistant Corps Marshal and Corps Public Education Officer, had in Abuja on Friday, April 28, reacted to the recent attack on FRSC personnel who were carrying out their duty of rescuing crash victims after a fatal crash.
According to the statement that Kazeem had released, he had condemned strongly, the unjustifiable attack on both FRSC personnel and their operational vehicles tagging it as unfortunate, and uncalled-for.
The statement read in part:
“The 2 teams mandated to carry out the prompt rescue of the crash victims were ambushed by sympathizers and the suspects came out in their hundreds, razing down an FRSC patrol vehicle, and destroying many parts of the ambulance that was to rescue the injured victims to the hospital.
“This attack had left 3 operatives with severe wounds sustained on their heads and other parts of their bodies. The Corps Marshal while sympathizing with the victims of the accident also wishes for the general public to desist from further unwarranted attacks on FRSC personnel, and its facilities both in the operational front and within its Commands headquarters.”
