Nigerian filmmaker Funke Akindele, affectionately known as the box office queen, has officially announced the return of ‘Aiyetoro Town’ with its highly anticipated second season, five years after the first season aired.

In a recent update on X, Funke shared that fans can catch the new season on FAANtv’s YouTube channel, which is set to premiere on June 22, 2025.

She mentioned that the upcoming season will continue to weave together humor, drama, and valuable life lessons, building upon the foundation laid by the first season.

Funke Akindele Confirms Season 2 of ‘Aiyetoro Town’ Premiering June 22

She took the opportunity to express her sincere gratitude towards the dedicated cast and crew, applauding their talent and hard work in bringing the story to life. Funke lauded them as the “real MVPs” behind the production.

In her message, she wrote, “5 years ago, we brought you Aiyetoro Town season 1, and now we’re back with season 2!!

“Get ready for laughter, drama and of course, life lessons.
Aiyetoro Town Season 2 premieres on FAANtv’s YouTube channel on Sunday, June 22nd!

“A big thank you to my amazing cast and crew – your dedication and talent made this story come alive! You all are the real MVPs!”
