Gabriel Jesus has apparently accepted a move to Napoli, and the Arsenal striker puts Serie A as his ideal destination in the summer.
According to Football Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Jesus does not have any problems moving to the Italian champions, although Napoli needs to sell a few of their players first to launch an official bid to Arsenal.
Jesus’s contract expires in the summer of 2027, thus it will be a tough decision for Arsenal to let him go if they don’t manage to sell him this summer or he leaves for free later on.
At the current stage, Napoli’s interest in Jesus depends largely on the situation surrounding Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker has apparently agreed to terms with Fenerbahce, but it depends on whether they sort out a deal with Napoli or not.
Initially, Napoli wanted roughly 12m for Lukaku, but it is being reported that they would now consider taking 7-8m (including bonuses) for him.
Napoli wants to sell either Lorenzo Lucca or Cyril Ngonge before they even submit their offer for Jesus.
According to reports, Jesus himself would be really interested in playing in Italy; his agents had initial talks with Napoli already in June.
Fenerbahce are thought to be observing Arsenal’s striker, but Napoli seem to be well in front now.
Things are expected to clear up whether Napoli make a formal offer for Jesus or not, after the Italians manage to offload a few players.
