Turkish champions Galatasaray have completed a sensational transfer after signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen on loan for the rest of the 2024/25 season.
The Super Lig giants announced that they will pay the Nigerian star a salary of six million euros for the period he will stay in Istanbul.
Osimhen, who arrived in the Turkish capital early Wednesday morning, completed the transfer after moves to Chelsea and Al Ahli collapsed at the last minute. With most European transfer windows closing at the end of August, the 25-year-old striker had found himself in a precarious situation at Napoli – where his relationship with the club had broken down over the last year.
Seizing on the fact that the Turkish transfer window was still open, Galatasaray submitted a timely offer to take Osimhen on loan. A deal that relieves all parties, whereby Osimhen gets to try his hand at a new league, with Galatasaray shoring up attacking options as they defend their Super Lig crown.
The loan move is regarded as a deal for all parties as Osimhen can get his groove back away from Napoli.
