Now, a Social Democrat Party (SPD) member of the German parliament, Sascha Binder, has written a letter to the German FA (DFB) asking the German football league system to ban FIFA president Gianni Infantino from every stadium in Germany, as seen by German daily BILD.
“For me it is another low blow for German football under the leadership of Infantino,” said Binder in his letter and demanded to set a symbolic example: “We as German football have to show that such a profit-gaining policy at the expense of our sport has no place with us.
Therefore, I call on the DFB to also give a signal by banning Gianni Infantino from German stadia Binder implored German clubs and the DFB to stand together against commercial influence in Football.
D FB declined to comment at the request. On the other hand, Infantino denied the rumor, saying that it was an offer, not an obligatory action. The FIFA president said: “FIFA Forward Enterprise is an opportunity and not an obligation”. He said that FIFA is always open to discussion.
