Super Falcons striker, Monday Gift has joined Spanish Iberdrola side, UDG Tenerife, from Nigeria’s women league champions, Bayelsa Queens.

The news was announced by Tenerife on their official Twitter handle, with a video of the player.

Monday Gift featured in the friendly match against the USA in preparation for the Women’s world cup in 2023. She also featured for the super Falcons in the 2022 Africa women cup of nations, which ended with South Africa emerging as the winner.

Gift Monday is a Nigerian professional soccer player, who plays as a forward for Tenerife and the Nigerian National team. In 2021-22 of the women’s league edition, she featured for Bayelsa Queens and played a key role, as they emerged as champions of the league. She finished as the season’s top goal scorer. In this year’s CAF awards she was nominated in the category of ‘ young female player’ of the year

This is a big one for our queen and we wish her a successful career in her new club.
