The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara had on Saturday, September 9, declared a 100 million naira bounty on Mr Gift David Okpara Okpolowu, otherwise known as 2-Baba and the members of his squad, over the violent murder of a Divisional Police Officer, DPO Bako Angbashim.
It is noteworthy to mention that the DPO was murdered on Friday night, September 8, while actively working with his men in Odiemudie Community, Ahoada East local government area of the state.
Governor Fubara who announced the bounty via a statement he personally signed and released, had revealed that anyone who provided valuable information that would lead to the arrest and possible prosecution of the suspect, would be granted a sum of N100m.
According to Governor Fubaru, the key suspect in the killing of the Divisional Police Officer, DPO was responsible for the abduction and terrorism in other regions of the state, therefore finding the killer(s) was of urgent importance.
