News about, Clerics being Kidnapped has become the order of the day, some of these Clerics are killed while in captivity, while some are released when certain demands are met.
Report has it that, two Catholic Priests, Rev. Fr Chochos Kunav and Rev. Fr Raphael Ogigba were abducted in Agbaro Otor Area, near Warri, Delta State.
This information was released, by a fellow Reverend Father, Rev. fr Okereke Kizito, who confirmed their kidnap in a statement made available to journalists. According to the statement, Rev Fr Chochos works at Ibadan and only decided to pay, Rev Fr Raphael a visit in Warri, both of them decided to visit another Priest in Agbir-Otor that was when their vehicle was attacked by some unknown Gunmen who dragged them out of their car to an unknown location.
He also asked for prayers for the release of the two Clerics.
“They both later went to see another priest around Agbaro-Otor and on their way back they were abducted”, the statement said.
“We ask for intense prayers for quick and safe release. May Jesus the high priest and the good Shepherd take care of his priests and may our mother thrice admirable Queen and victress of schoenstatt intercede for them,“ it added
All efforts to contact the Delta State Police Spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe have proved abortive, as he is not picking up his calls or responding to his message.
