Some unknown gunmen kidnapped the driver of the Benin Distribution Electrical Company, and in exchange for this freedom are demanding N10m.
The report has it that, he and his boss, were attacked on their way to Akure from Ifon, returning from an official assignment, when they ran into these gunmen, who shot at their vehicle.
The driver tried to escape from the scene but unfortunately one of the bullets hit the tire of the vehicle, and the car somersaulted into the bush, the boss out of shock fell unconscious, the kidnappers thinking that the boss is dead, kidnapped the driver to an unknown Location.
The source said, “The driver was whisked into the bush by the bandits after his boss. His boss fell unconscious, so they left the boss they thought had died.”
The police force spokesperson for Ondo State, Fumilayo Odulami confirmed the incident and assured the public that they are going to see to it that the victim is rescued.
“We are working on the matter. Our men at the anti-kidnapping unit are working towards rescuing the victim”, the PPRO stated.
