Unidentified gunmen have kidnapped over 20 medical and dental students and a House Officer in Benue State.
The students had been on theit way to the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students (FECAMDS) annual convention in Enugu.
The abducted students were from the University of Maiduguri and University of Jos, and had been traveling together when they were attacked by gunmen around 5:30 p.m. in the Otukpo, Benue State.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident, revealed that an investigation had been launched to get to the bottom of the abduction.
At the time of filing this report, the identities of the 20 medical and dental students and a House Officer abducted by gunmen in Benue State have been revealed.
Their identities were revealed by an X (formerly Twitter) user SportsDokita (Odogwu) @Sports_Doctor2.
