Gunmen alleged to be kidnappers have killed Yinka Olomojobi, a law professor at Babcock University, Ilisha, in Ogun State, and kidnapped two other persons.
According to reports, the unfortunate incident had occurred on Friday when the assailants invaded the Iperu area of the state.
The kidnappers had allegedly, planned to abduct the late professor Olomojobi, but he was gunned down for reportedly refusing to be taken away to an unknown location.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, has confirmed the report, saying that one person had been arrested in connection with the incident.
Odutola had said:
“A suspicious coincidence led the police to arrest one Awada Ishaya of Plateau State who had only been employed two weeks ago as a security guard, when the event centre was launched, for further interrogation,”
